LUCILLE TACK ART GALLERY SEASON 2009 - 2010

The Gallery of the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts offers monthly exhibits by area artists representing a variety of visual art forms. Exhibits may be viewed during opening receptions, at the time of a performance and by appointment.

Mary Jo Fox -- Willard, Wisconsin
October 2-30, 2009
Using the eighth-century technique of pen and ink, our artist adds a watercolor wash to capture the beauty of florals and wildlife in her artwork. Each technique can be viewed both separately and in combination with each other. Centering on light and shadow, these wonderful watercolor pen and ink designs come to life.

Opening Reception Friday, October 2, 5-7 p.m.

Vicki and MiChelle Fredrick -- Alameda, California and Madison, Wisconsin
November 6-25, 2009
This "sister act" will combine a unique range of artistic mediums including oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, photography and graphic design. Both are professional artists.

Opening Reception Friday, November 6, 5-7 p.m.

Student Artwork by Spencer Elementary and Middle School
December 4-22, 2009
A variety of favorite mediums and subject matter fill the gallery walls with a youthful vibe.

The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation Traveling Exhibit -- Necedah, Wisconsin
January 8-30, 2010
This dynamic, active art and science program is designed to teach wetlands habitat and waterfowl conservation to students from kindergarten through high school. The original artwork of the winning contestant is matted, framed and incorporated into a traveling display that visits over 20 locations throughout the state. Necedah Wildlife Refuge representative, Dan Peterson, will give a presentation at 6 p.m.

Opening Reception Friday, January 8, 5-7 p.m.

In conjunction with the national touring Federal Junior Duck Stamp Exhibit the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts (LTCA) is hosting a contest for area students to submit an original piece of artwork depicting Wisconsin wildlife.

Carol LaPorte -- Marshfield, Wisconsin
February 5-27, 2010
Catching bits and pieces of everyday life in rural Wisconsin, this photographer uses her lens to capture childhood memories and the beauty of the world around us.

Opening Reception Friday, February 5, 5-7 p.m.

Tammy Roy -- Stratford, Wisconsin
March 5-26, 2010
Combining creativity and inspiration with reclaimed materials and various metals, scrap metal is turned into an array of eco-friendly art pieces. Primarily interior decorations, these works have gained national attention.

Opening Reception Friday, March 5, 5-7 p.m.

Carolyn Rosenberger -- Iola, Wisconsin
April 5-May 2, 2010
Carolyn's motto used to be, "Rather than a teacher who happens to paint, I find myself becoming a painter who happens to teach." Since taking an early retirement from teaching, her motto has become her reality. Themes of nature (landscapes and florals) done with water color on various types of rice papers reflect both representational and impressionistic qualities.

Opening Reception Friday, April 16, 5-7 p.m.

Student Artwork -- Spencer High School
May 7-28, 2010
A diverse multi-media exhibit that showcase art student's imagination, creativity and new techniques.

For your listening pleasure, we are pleased to present the smooth jazz sounds by James Voss and Jim Rickard. This bass-keyboard duo adds a special ambience to each Opening Reception. Delicious refreshments are served.
