Dear America

A musical play that explores the immigrant experience, ethnic diversity,
human rights and democratic values. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, Dear
America offers a stunning overview of America in a series of short
stories that celebrate the richness of cultural diversity and the
triumph of the human spirit.

The Mammoth Follies

Grades: PreK - 5
Enormous dinosaur puppets populate the stage, including your host Willie Mammoth,
Bessie the 26-foot long Apatosaurus, and the 11-foot tall T. Rex in a musical
trip through pre-history. Mammoth Follies explores the wonders of evolution in
an old-fashioned revue of original songs, witty jokes and earth-smashing dances
performed by giant dinosaur puppets. This program dramatizes historic and
scientific facts about the great age of the dinosaur.

Andes Manta

The dynamic, vibrant and mystical melodies of the Andes return to our stage
featuring the four Lopez brothers playing on more than 35 hand-made traditional
instruments, from guitars and flutes, to six-foot long panpipes. The music of
Andes Manta resonates of civilizations past and delivers a fresh, emotionally
charged listening experience that never fails to bring audiences to their feet.
Their sounds of the Rainforest, and the wind through the high Andes are
fascinating!

Charlotte's Web

An encore performance! Join the miraculous Charlotte, a little gray spider,
and the lovable pig, Wilbur in E. B. White's ever-popular tale of bravery,
selfless love and the true meaning of friendship. The play, featuring madcap and
endearing farm animals, tells the story of Wilbur, a pig with a problem, and how
Charlotte a fine writer and true friend hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zukerman.

My Heart in a Suitcase

A Holocaust story of hope. This moving drama tells the remarkable and true
story of Anne Lehmann's life in 1938 Berlin and her courageous decision to
board the Kinder-transport and leave Nazi Germany without her family. Anne's

The Jungle Book

A musical version of Rudyard Kipling's classic, set in the jungles of southern
India follows Mowgli's childhood adventures. With the help of friends like the
black panther, Bagheera, and Baloo the lovable bear, Mowgli learns about
friendship and survival as he faces his fear and foils his nemesis the tiger
Shere Khan.

Are You Ready, My Sister?
Thursday, March 19, 2009 (10 am & 1 pm)
Grades: K - 8
This story is about Harriet Tubman, "great conductor" of the Underground Railroad
and the Quaker women who helped her bring 300 slaves to freedom. It features live
music based on spirituals of the time, dramatic scenes and audience participation.
The set is a giant patchwork quilt; as the story unfolds, each square of the
quilt comes to life with shadow puppets and painted backlit scenery.
